Why I Teach
Students at ICS enter chemistry as sophomores with a powerful foundation: they enter with a year of physics, and they enter with a background in Latin. I take this foundation and build on it, adding a strong structure of how to problem solve, how to struggle with difficult questions and persevere, and how to study. As often as possible, I help them apply the chemistry they are learning to real life, so they can leave ICS and use the chemical knowledge they have gained.
